Report a security problem

If you believe you have found a way to read or change data that is not yours, please tell us privately before saying anything publicly, and test only against accounts and projects you own. We will acknowledge the report, fix the problem, and credit you if you wish.

Quick answers

Starting

New project opens a template picker; the template sets the structure and whether you write in Markdown or LaTeX. Import takes a .docx, a Markdown or LaTeX file, a Google Doc downloaded as .docx, or a whole Overleaf project downloaded as a .zip. The live demo is a complete project you can read without an account.

Keyboard

Press ? anywhere in the app for the shortcut list, and Command K for quick open.

The assistant and your keys

The assistant runs on a key you add under Settings → AI keys for Claude, GPT or Gemini. Without a key it returns sample output so you can see the shape of the feature. Keys are stored encrypted and can be removed at any time.

Your data

Settings → Data controls downloads an archive of your projects and deletes your account. The privacy policy says exactly what is stored and what deletion removes.

Billing

Paid plans are not live. During early access every feature is included free, and the terms say what will happen when that changes.

Is it down?

/api/health on this site answers with the service’s own view of its parts. If a page fails, the error screen shows a reference code; quoting it lets us find the request in seconds.
